You are Not a Time Lord

April Shewan Mar 16, 2026

Most of my clients think they’re Time Lords.

They try to cram three things into a space where they can only fit one. And somehow they assume they can create time to get it all done.

Then, when that doesn’t work, they blame themselves for being disorganized, lazy or procrastinating.

But these people don’t actually own time turners or a Tardis. They’re just mere mortals trying to accomplish way too much in too short a period of time.

Now time management is a big subject and there is zero chance I can teach you everything you need to know in one blog.

However here’s a starting place - no time travel required:

  1. You can’t be in two places at once, stop double booking
  2. Things take way longer than you think they’re going to, so you need to plan for that.
  3. Schedule time to be human. Remember, you need to eat, use the restroom and move your body occasionally. Make sure to put these on the calendar.

If you’re currently double booked, running late and skipping lunch just pick one of these to focus on for a few weeks. Once you’ve got that under control then start on the next.

Remember, executive functioning is a skill, and like any skill it takes time to master. Be kind to yourself during this process. And if you’re still struggling, reach out to me. I can help.
